Back to school and other stuff

Heya, everyone. Excuse the delay but some things have been going on in my life. But I'm back now and all is well :D

I'm off to school on Thursday but in all honesty, I'm looking forward to it. I've missed my friends SO MUCH. Also I'll be starting Year Nine which means I'll be doing SATs at the end of the year *dramatic music*

Hopefully everything will go well. I hate studying for exams, especially maths, but we've all got to do things we don't like. I can't wait to drop it once I've done my GCSE's.

I'm now a Potterhead, which is great! I had never been in to Harry Potter before but I found the Philosopher's Stone in my house one day in the summer and ever since I've been obsessed!

I think Severus Snape is my favourite Harry Potter character, and Luna Lovegood comes a close second.

Luna Lovegood is such a quirky, interesting character and she doesn't care about what other people think of her. She also seems to be in her own little word, a lot like me XD

And Evanna Lynch played Luna so very well in the films and I love how Luna just does her own thing.

My favourite bands

1. Lordi

I love Lordi and discovered them when I was a little girl and I still love them to this day. It's thanks to them I have met so many wonderful people and have made amazing new friends. Their songs cheer me up and they have never once let me down (well...the video for "Who's your Daddy?" and "The Riff" did a bit, though). Lordi, I love you xxx

2. Bullet for my Valentine
Sometimes Bullet is my 1. favourite band (I'm constantly trying to decide who I love more - Lordi or Bullet). However, I love Bullet to death and I am immensely proud of them. They come from the little town of Bridgend (that's my hometown too!) and make me even more proud to be Welsh! Whenever I'm feeling down, I go watch a Bullet interview and in seconds I'm grinning. :)

3. Black Veil Brides
This band gives me a reason to get up in the morning. The lyrics to their songs make me feel stronger and good about myself. To those who sing alone, no need to feel this sorrow and Never give in, never back down. When your life feels lost, fight against all odds AND We stand tall - United! and also If I fall, I will rise back up and relive my glory. At the moment I only have on album (Wretched & Divine) but I have all of the albums on mp3, it's just W&D I have on CD.

4. Selena Gomez & The Scene

I bet you weren't expecting that!! XD
I have been a Selenator ever since 2010, which was when I first started watching WOP (Wizards of Waverly Place). Although the band has broken up now and I think Sel's taking a little break, I will ALWAYS love this band, no matter what :3

5. ACDC

Now this band is epic. I don't have any CD's but I do have a few albums on my iPod. I have an ACDC glass (which I guard with my life and I don't let anyone drink from it) and an ACDC shirt, although the neckline is quite loose and I sometimes look a bit slutty in it :/ BUT I still love it and I love you A. for getting it for me for my birthday :* (you know who you are, A.) xoxo

6. KISS

Another epic band, KISS is a good example of a classic rock n roll band! I don't have any CD's and only a few songs on my iPod however, I still really like this band! I have a KISS jumper (and it's really, REALLY fleecy and warm) and a KISS mug (and like with my ACDC glass, I guard it with my life and won't let anybody drink from it) which is useful for cold, rainy days! :3

School's Out

As the title says, school is indeed out! Looking forward to my holidays. I'm off to France this Sunday. It's nothing fancy like Paris; it's the countryside and it rains a lot. And there's a lot of cows. My family has a cottage out there so that's where I stay. My only Internet access there is at my grandparent's home so it'll be harder to update on the blog :/

But life goes on, right?

As well as France, I'll also be spending some time in (drum roll...)...Wales! That I'm looking forward to because I've missed my little home country. And I miss my hometown, Bridgend, even if it isn't the nicest town in the world. :P my cousin will be getting married so that's another thing to look forward to! ^^

Summer 2013, here I come! :D

Pretty Little Liars

I'm obsessed with this TV show which goes by the name of Pretty Little Liars. Basically, there are these five best friends: Alison DiLaurentis, Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields and Hanna Marin. It's set in the made-up town of Rosewood, Philadelphia. One night, Alison went missing and Spencer heard her scream. Then one year later, Alison's body is found - murdered. Aria, Emily, Spencer and Hanna get these text messages from a person called 'A' and A knew all of their secrets that only Alison knew *dramatic music*

I would really reccomend watching this TV show - it's amazing! Season 4 is coming out this Tuesday. I thought I'd explain a little bit about what's happened on season 3:

There's a girl called Mona (pictured) and she was Hanna's best friend when Alison went missing. Alison, Hanna, Emily, Aria and Spencer used to bully Mona when Alison was still alive. At the end of season 2, it was revealed that Mona was 'A'. This got Mona carted of to a mental hospital called Radley. In episode 16 of season 3, Mona was released but the liars (Spencer, Emily, Aria & Hanna) don't trust her.

However, 'A' kept on messaging the girls and then we found out that there is an 'A Team'. The show revolves around trying to find out who killed Alison and about who's on the A Team.

THEN we found out that a guy called Toby (pictured with Spencer)
is also on the A Team. Now what makes this really interesting is that Toby is Spencer's boyfriend. When Spencer found out, the two of them broke up (obviously) and then Toby went completely missing and then Spencer saw Toby's dead body and then Spencer just went crazy (or 'cray cray' as Mona puts it). At the season finale, Spencer was let out of Radley and it turns out, Toby is in fact STILL ALIVE!!!

During season 3, each liar had their own little problem. Aria and her boyfriend (Ezra) were going through a rough patch, Emily's girlfriend, Maya, was murdered during the summer and Hanna had the Mona problem.

Believe me, there was a lot more drama going on than what I've just written. These were just my favourite bits and crucial bits. One more thing I am going to say though:

In season 3, we found out about a person called "red coat". This is a woman with blonde hair and a red coat. She is the leader of the A team. In the season finale, Spencer, Mona and Hanna got a glimpse of her and they believe that she is Alison herself. Now nobody is certain if Alison is dead or alive! Now I'm going to leave you with a picture of Alison as red coat. Did Mona, Hanna and Spencer see correctly? Or was it all a hallucination....

Rant

Random rant:

My mother. Enough said. Every single day it's a new nag whether it's "You can't wear that out" or "Sit straighter". Doesn't sound too bad but then she starts criticising my body. "Your hair's too long," It reaches my f*cking shoulders. "You're gaining weight. Stop eating and do more exercise". And because of that one sentence I skip breakfast, eat very little lunch and half of my dinner. When I'm not doing homework I'm running or doing some kind of exercise.

And it's not just that. It's when she starts criticising my favourite bands. That is where I loose the plot.   She says that I'm boring now because all I talk about is Lordi. Correction, I never talk about them at home. Or at school. Well, barely at school. It's other people that bring Lordi up and THEN I start talking about them. Not my fault.

Sometimes if I had to choose between saving her in a house fire or Lordi, I would save Lordi with zilch hesitation. No, not sometimes. All the bloody time. If I had to choose between me dying and saving Lordi or Lordi dying and saved then I'd let Lordi live. Does that give an idea on how much I love them? And I'd do the same for Bullet for my Valentine and Black Veil Brides.

When my mum found the scars on my arm she completely lost it. She didn't even stop to ask me why I'd done it. Oh and then she said "if you feel depressed just go read a book," So I guess I can't go talk to her about it. Well....not that I'd want to. And then she was all "I could loose my job because people would think I'd abused you," Sounds to me like she cares more about her job than her own daughter. Well I care about music more than my family. My online friends know more about me than she does. For hell's sake I just don't understand why she can't just leave me alone. She was never there for me when my friend had cancer and killed herself. She just began talking about pedophiles and stalkers. If I told her I was being cyber bullied I have high doubts she'd care.

Being in the Black Veil Brides fandom

Bored and I haven't written a post for a while so here I go:

I wouldn't say being a BVB fan is tough or challenging or negative. I love being a fan and talking to other fans online. That's great. And being part of the BVB army is also pretty good. But it's the fact that so many people hate BVB is what gets me annoyed. They're not a bad band and their music is really good, when you get listening to it. Don't just listen to Knives and Pens, which is the song most people know. In The End, Never Give In (title of this blog), Resurect the Sun, Nobody's Hero, Lost it All, Rebel Love Song, Savior and Set the World on Fire are all good songs and you should definitely (is that spelt right? I can never manage to spell that word correctly) have a listen to them.

Then there's my favourite members. A majortity of the fans like Andy and I admit, he's very hot and good-looking but my favourite is Jinxx. He's quiet in interviews, he can play the violin (good at it too) and he and Sammi Doll make a lovely couple. I'm not jealous of Sammi at all and I love the two of them together. Simple, he's happy I'm happy.

I also like Jake and CC. Jake is also another quiet one and I always liked quiet people more. They're more interesting, but that's just my opinion. CC is an excellent drummer but I did like Sandra quite a lot. Anyways, CC and Ashley make me laugh in interviews and have you seen CC and those 'V' lines that make smart girls stupid girls? Exactly.

On Facebook, there are all these pages dedicated to metal and rock music and I love these pages and seeing other people like me. However, when the pages start ridiculing bands like BVB, Pierce the Veil, Bring me the Horizon, etc, etc I just get so angry because they are metal bands and all metal bands deserve love and repsect.

I don't like being called a poser for liking these bands and I'm sure a lot of the fans of these bands will agree with me on this.

BFMV's albums (review)

So I decided to do a little album review on one of my favourite band: Bullet for my Valentine.

The Poison:
I don't really have much of an opinion on The Poison. It's a very good debut album, no doubt, but I don't listen to it that much. I like Tears Don't Fall (don't we all?) and All These Things I Hate (Revoleve Around Me) and Hand Of Blood. But apart from that, I don't really have many thoughts on this album #sorrynotsorry

Scream Aim Fire:
Now this is a good album. My favourite track from here has to be Waking The Demon  - the screaming on it is brilliant. As well as WTD, I also like a bonus track on this album - Road To Nowhere. This song is pure, well, legend. :D overall, though, I absolutelty (is that spelt correctly?) love this album.

Fever:
This is my all-time favourite album. Seriously, out of all the Metallica, ACDC, KISS, Lordi and Black Veil Brides and all the other bands I listen to, this album comes out as my number one favourite out of ALL of them. Matt's vocals are amazing, in the song Your Betrayal Moose plays the drums very powefully in the beginning, Padge's guitar solos are legendary and Jay's screaming in several songs is just perfect. Love this album :3

Temper Temper:
This album got some bad reviews but I personally love Temper Temper. Dead to the World is my favourite song on there and P.O.W is very close behind. Sure, this album isn't as good as their others (that I'll admit) but I think it's very good and the negative reviews aren't deserved.
